About MIchaela

Based out of Orlando, Florida, Michaela Cowan is a filmmaker and small business owner.

To earn a BFA in Digital Filmmaking and a Minor in Creative Writing in 2025, she spent four years learning every role on film sets including cinematographer, gaffer, editor, sound designer, production designer, and more. In her senior year, her main focus was in production roles, mainly Producing, 1st Assistant Directing, and Writing/Directing.

Since then, she’s been working with large companies and clients to produce, direct, and film advertisements, digital media content, and narrative-driven commercials, all while simultaneously working on independent productions like music videos and short films.

Advocating for the importance of women in film, especially in leadership roles, is something she’s become passionate about and continues to advocate for as she steps into the industry.
