About MIchaela

Michaela Cowan is a recent graduate of Ringling College of Art + Design with a BFA in Digital Filmmaking and a Minor in Creative Writing.

Over her four years of education, she took on a variety of on-set roles (cinematographer, gaffer, editor, sound designer, production designer, and more) but focused in on production roles in her senior year, mainly Writing/Directing, Producing, and 1st Assistant Directing.

Advocating for the importance of women in film, especially in leadership roles, is something she’s become passionate about and continues to advocate for as she steps into the industry.
